Foundation

One more in a series of experiments. I call this one Foundation. Born out of Matthew 7:24-25. "...the winds blew and slammed against that house..." (NASB), this verse serves as my leaping off point for choices made - but once again the ending result takes on a life all its own. Celestial beings juxtaposed with galactic odyssey, it begs faraway places to one observer, while another feels the froth and foam of close encounters with the Storms of life. I give it once again to the observer to fulfill whatever the Spirit may whisper.

The Creative Process

When we partner with the Holy Spirit in anything we put our hands to, we gain access to the creativity of the Creator Himself, we then get the opportunity to become explorers and navigators, interpreters and storytellers, where art is the vehicle and the observer is taken on a journey into new thoughts and ideas or even healing.
Sometimes the artist has a clear intention before they begin, other times the art flows from a place unknown to the artist until it is expressed in line, color, shape, and form and the interpretation is then as diverse as the individuals who observe it.
Somewhere between these two approaches I created this piece as three words stirred in my heart: Fire, Refinement, and Glory. It is my hope that if you invite the Holy Spirit into your observation, He will speak to you something of your own  journey through it.
